11.0 CONTROLS
11.1 Bead-breaking control unit (only for
versions CB and AD)
This unit has two œbuttons with different functions
positioned on a single control unit.
The unit can be gripped for moving the bead-breaker
and positioning it for operation.
The bead-breaking control unit therefore governs all
the movements necessary for a complete bead-break-
ing operation. Shifting the bead-breaker:
• Manual sliding movement of the bead breaking de-
vice.
• Push and pull movement of the command unit for
the manual setting of the wheel diameter. The diam-
eter indications are shown on the scale on the han-
dle support.
• The two pneumatic buttons on the unit control the
upper and lower bead-breaking arms.
• Each button has three positions. The first is the stop
position (the bead-breaker arms are open).
• The second position is operative and remains en-
gaged, with the right button moving the lower bead-
breaker arm upwards, and the left button moving
the upper arm downwards.
• The third position operates with continuous pres-
sure. Pressing the right button again causes a hy-
draulic pump to start, which moves the lower bead-
breaker roller. Similarly, pressing the left button
again starts the hydraulic movement of the upper
roller. Releasing the pressure on the buttons stops
the movement, the arms remaining in the position
reached (See Fig. 23).

11.2 Pedal board
"Pedal 1" has two stable operating position. Pressing
down, it produces rotating movement of the chuck mo-
tor in the clockwise. The pedal lifting produced the op-
posite movement.
"Pedal 2" (only for versions CB and ST) has a stable
operating position. Pressing down, it produces the
bead-breaker arm closing movement. Sparking out the
pedal, the arm return to the rest position.

Version with tubeless inflation
The inflation pedal has two functions. The supply of
air at a controlled pressure as in the previous version,
and a second function of a jet of air from the inflation
nozzle to assist the beading in of the tyre.
