2 Description
2.1 Intended Use
The 743A18 Alignment Tool is to be used solely for the fabrication of pros-
thetic sockets for the exoprosthetic fitting of the upper extremities.
2.2 Field of Application
The 743A18 Alignment Tool is used as an alignment aid for forearm prostheses.
2.3 Function
The 743A18 Alignment Tool consists of the following single components:
• 743Y41
• 743Y42=40 Lamination Dummy
• 743Y42=45 Lamination Dummy
• 743Y42=50 Lamination Dummy
• 743Y42=54 Lamination Dummy
For a myoelectrically controlled prosthesis, the following lamination dum-
mies are to be used:
• 743Y42=45 Lamination Dummy for hand size 7 and 7 ¼
• 743Y42=50 L amination Dummy for hand size 7 ¾ and
• 743Y42=54 Lamination Dummy for hand size 8 ¼
For all other fittings, the following applies:
• 743Y42=40 Wrist diameter of 40 mm
• 743Y42=45 Wrist diameter of 45 mm
• 743Y42=50 Wrist diameter of 50 mm
