Always follow these recommendations for best results:
1. Review Safety Information, Section 2.
2. Hold the pipettor vertically during use. For greatest accuracy, the pipettor should never be tilted at an angle greater than 15° during aspiration or
dispense.
3. During aspiration, consistently place the tip no deeper than 5 mm into the liquid.
4. During dispensing, position the tip at least 5 mm above the surface to prevent bubbles from forming.
Charging the Pipettor battery
The battery is protected against discharging during shipping with a plastic protector.
Remove the plastic protector before use (Fig. 1).
1. Push the buttons simultaneously in order to open the cover.
2. Remove the plastic protector.
• Mount the pipettor into the charging stand. The charging stand operates through the metal contacts
in the sides of the 3M Electronic Pipettor II and the head of the charging stand.
• Allow the pipettor to remain in the charging stand for 12 hours to fully charge the battery if the
battery is new or has been allowed to fully discharge.
• When the pipettor is not in use it is recommended to keep the pipettor in the charging stand. This
ensures that the battery is kept charged and the pipettor is ready for use.
