7.15 USEFUL ADVICE

Sort out the linen to be ironed according to
the type of fabric. At first keep the
temperature low and iron the most delicate
linen. Gradually increase the heat using the
control panel and iron the most heat-resistant
fabrics last. You will thus start ironing
sooner without having to wait for the press
to cool when shifting from high to low
temperatures.
The maximum humidity in the items must
not exceed 50%.
Warning: starched linen must be ironed
last.
7.16 RECOMMENDATIONS
Do not keep the appliance on to no purpose.
Turn off the disconnection switch when
the appliance is not being used. During
operation remember:
-
Mind your hands when feeding the
linen.
-
When the machine is disenergised, the
ironing press opens automatically so
that the item that was being ironed can
be removed and wear/damage to the
fabric is avoided:
-
Before ironing any item, make sure that
buttons, zips, clasps and buckles do not
touch the press basin; if necessary, cover
them with a cloth or place them facing
the roller. Do not iron clothes sewn with
synthetic thread, plastic-printed fabrics
or garments having plastic parts.
-
Before carrying out any cleaning or
maintenance, make sure that both the
built-in disconnection switch and the
wall master switch are off.
-
Do not iron garments which have been
cleaned, dampened or washed with
inflammable or explosive substances
unless they have been washed in water
beforehand.
-
Keep flammable chemical agents far
from the appliance. Store them in dry
and aired compartments, inaccessible
to unauthorised personnel.
-
Keep the machine's cleaning and
polishing agents far from the ironer itself.
ATTENTION:
1) IRON USING THE ENTIRE ROLLER
SURFACE This is very important in order
to distribute the heat uniformly on the roller
and to reduce the wear of the padded cover.
2) Do not iron layers of linen thicker than
8mm, as this would quickly wear the roller
cover.
3) For best results, possibly iron single
layers of linen.
Do not introduce folded items, as the
innermost layer may not be ironed properly.
