"AL6" FLAME FAILURE
This alarm appears when the burner, which
is controlled by the electronic unit, has
failed to ignite or when the flame has gone
off during operation. For safety purposes,
the heating system is automatically put off.
It will still be possible to iron, but the
machine will gradually cool down.
The cause of this alarm may be either the
lack of gas in the line or a fault in the gas-
heating system.
This alarm is reset by the reset push-button
(marked with no icon) on the control panel,
just like for a generic alarm; then it will be
necessary to reset the gas ignition unit using
the push-button marked "reset gas" at the
back of the machine.
Then restart the heating system; if the alarm
appears again more than twice, resort to the
technical after-sales service.
"AL7" OIL PRESSURE
This alarm appears if, once the ironing
session has started, the press nominal
pressure on the display screen has not been
reached within 20 seconds.
This same type of alarm appears if for 20
consecutive seconds the pressure inside the
hydraulic circuit falls below the set value
during the ironing session.
If this type of alarm trips, immediately stop
the machine and disconnect it from the
power mains by means of the master switch
on the wall and the disconnection switch on
board the machine. Next check for any oil
leaks or breakages in the hydraulic circuit.
Check the level of the oil in the unit. This
level should be half way up the window
when the machine is off and cold.
In case of any faults in the hydraulic circuit,
contact the after-sales service.
Alarm 7 can also trip when the machine is
first switched on in the event of two of the
three power phase leads having been
switched over. In this case, proceed to switch
over two of the three leads so the hydraulic
unit can operate properly.
This alarm can only be reset by interrupting
power to the machine.
"AL8" PRESS OVERHEATING/PROBE
NOT CONNECTED
If a temperature above 215°C is measured or
the temperature probe is faulty, this alarm
trips and flashes on the screen and also
produces an intermittent beep for one minute.
The machine stays on in this condition until
the fault is remedied. The panel returns to
normal operation as soon as the temperature
drops below danger level. In the event of this
alarm occurring three times during the same
work session, the machine will switch off
automatically and indicate that the alarm
has tripped.
If the temperature rises over 220°C, the
machine will prevent pressurising the
ironing press on the roller and will
immediately disconnect during the work
session, while in the case of temperatures
over 235°C, the safety thermostat will trip to
interrupt power to the heating elements.
Once the cause of the alarm has been
remedied, reset can be done by pressing the
key, without the icon. Alarm 7 can only be
reset by interrupting power to the machine.
OTHER
SAFETY
FEATURED ON THE MACHINE
Besides the electronically controlled safety
device, the machine features a number of
electro-mechanical protection devices listed
below:
1) SAFETY THERMOSTAT with manual
reset, located in the top part of the control
panel, inside the left side: this protection
device interrupts power to the heating
elements as soon as the temperature rises
above 235°C.
To reset this device, interrupt power to the
machine by means of the master switch on
the wall and the disconnection switch on
board the machine; open the left side door,
find and remedy the cause of overheating,
then pinpoint the safety thermostat
distinguished by a black cap on the control
panel. Unscrew the thermostat cap and press
the polymeric pin inwards using a tool until
a click is heard, which means that the device
has been reset. At the end of the operation,
replace the protective cap, fit the covers
back on together with any other removed
parts and then switch on the machine.
2) DISCONNECTION SWITCH : interrupts
power to the machine and disconnects it
from the power mains.
3) MUSHROOM-SHAPED SAFETY
BUTTONS: immediately stop the machine
whatever the operating status.
4) Line and auxiliary FUSES for fully
protecting the electrical system.
5) ELECTRO-MECHANICAL CUTOUTS
with manual resetting to protect the motors
on board the machine.
6) ISOLATION TRANSFORMER for
physically and electrically isolating the
electric circuit of the machine from the
power line.
7) FINGER PROTECTION STRIP for
protecting against accidental burns: if this
trips, the machine stops.
8) 3 metre long POWER CABLE forming
part of the supply and in conformity with the
most recent applicable safety regulations.
IMPORTANT: JUST AS SOON AS ONE
OF THE SAFETY DEVICES ON BOARD
THE MACHINE ENGAGES, THE
MACHINE MUST BE SHUT OFF AND
DISCONNECTED FROM THE POWER

REAR AND BY MEANS OF THE

THE CAUSE THAT TRIGGERED THE
ALARM SHOULD BE REMEDIED BY

8.3 SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE TO
BE CARRIED OUT BY TECHNICAL
STAFF
The scheduled maintenance must be carried
out by our authorised assistance service
centres or qualified personnel only.
BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY
DEVICES
MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE, MAKE
SURE
THAT
DISCONNECTION SWITCH AND THE
MASTER DISCONNECTION SWITCH
ON THE WALL ARE OFF.
Be very careful during maintenance. For no
reason whatsoever must safety devices be
overrun. Use only original spare parts.
Should doubts arise, call our technical office
immediately, reporting the model and serial
number that can be read on the rating plate
stuck on the back of your appliance.
- MONTHLY CHECKS
Check the circumference of the roller using
a normal flexible tape measure. The measure
must be comprised between 1265 mm and
1280 mm and it must be uniform on the
whole length. If the circumference is below
1265 mm, it will be necessary to recondition
the cover and check the condition of the
metal, replacing the felt is necessary. For
these operations, please, consult the relevant
instructions.
Consider the felt surface: Felt replacement
is recommended when the following
conditions arise simultaneously:
The circumference is found smaller than
1265 mm
Ironing quality is poor and does not improve
by raising the temperature or the pressure;
The surface of the cover is brownish;
Felt permeability has become so poor that
the machine cannot extract any moisture
from the linen.
- YEARLY CHECKS
Check that the safety devices are in perfect
working condition, i.e. safety thermostat,
finger safety strip, proper earth connection
and differential circuit breaker placed
upstream of the appliance.
Being greased for life, the reduction gear
requires no maintenance.
Check for any oil leaks of any kind and solve
the problem.
Make sure that the electric connection screws
are tight on the contactors and incoming
terminals.
Check the hydraulic oil level; if necessary,
top up with the same type of oil or with a
similar type. The oil level must reach the
OF
THE
viewer on the tank.
PRIOR TO TURNING ON THE BUILT-
IN DISCONNECTION SWITCH AND
THE
MAIN
SWITCH ON THE WALL, FIT ALL
THE
PREVIOUSLY
PANELS BACK IN PLACE.
Every 1000 hours of operation the
microprocessor will request maintenance of
some machine components: If this request
