Engage the miter detent at the 0° position (See Miter-angle adjustment). Then tighten the
miter-lock knob to secure the miter table.
5. Lay a square flat on the miter table. Place one leg of the square against the fence. Slide
the other leg of the square against the flat part of saw blade.
NOTICE: Make sure that the square contacts the flat part of the saw blade, not the blade
teeth.
6. The edge of the square and the saw blade should be parallel. (Fig 29).
7. If the front or back edge of the saw blade angles away from the square, adjustments are
needed (Fig 29a & 29b).

8. Loosen the lock knobs for the L/R sliding fence and slide the fences all the way out to
remove the L/R sliding fence from the fixed fence (See
sliding fence).
9.
Use an
M5 Wrench (not supplied) to loosen the socket-head screws that secure the fixed
fence to the miter table (Fig.30).
10. Rotate the fixed fence left or right until the saw blade is parallel with the square.
11. Retighten the screws securely and recheck the blade-to-fence alignment.
12. Replace the sliding miter fences.
NOTICE: Your saw also has a miter-angle pointer. After squaring adjustments have been
made, it may be necessary to
indicator screw and reset it to zero (Fig.31).
