Appendix – Bus master configuration

Device Parameter Data
Determines the parameter data length. With the bus control, the
length is: 0x01 Byte.
Both these have the same functions and are identical.

With these a parameter setting can be written into the module and
the diagnostics can be activated and deactivated.

In the opposite direction, the parameter settings can be read out.
The default value of these parameters (after power-on) depends on the
position of the S3.5 switch (see "Setting diagnostic messages" on page
69):
S3.5 = OFF default value: 0x00
S3.5 = ON default value: 0x3F
In order to activate the switch over of diagnostics from ON to OFF
(or vice versa) during operation, the module must be stopped and
then started again. (power-on). The transmitted data length
changes. This therefore has to be adapted also in the control
system.
