The insufflator is a non-heat-resistant medical device and cannot withstand immersion;
consequently, it should be disinfected with a non-woven medium saturated with a disinfectant
detergent.
As decontamination levels are linked to the products, methods and/or tools used, deconta-
mination is the sole responsibility of the staff concerned.
This apparatus is not autoclavable.
Existing alkaline solutions for disinfecting certain medical devices are NOT RECOM-
MENDED for disinfecting this apparatus.
Always disconnect the apparatus before cleaning it.
After each use:
• Discard the disposable sterilised tubing hoses; do not attempt to re-sterilise them.
• Clean up all possible spatters on the insufflator by removing them with a slightly moistened
cloth.
The device must always be decontaminated before sending it to the after-sales service de-
partment.
