10.4.1
Main filter and control filter
Replace the whole main filter and the control filter after approximately
6,000 hours of operation and at least every 3 years. Also, replace the control
filter if damaged or if there is a considerable pressure drop over the control
filter.
To replace the main filter:
1.
Remove the main filter according to Figure 15.
2.
Put the old filter in a large plastic bag, or wrap it in plastic foil, see Figure
16.
NOTE!
Avoid dust spreading.
3.
Install the new main filter.
NOTE!
After installing the new main filter, check that the filter bags are
correctly grounded, see Section '8.3.2 Ground check measurement'.
To replace the control filter:
1.
Disconnect the exhaust from the unit, see Figure 18, item 1.
2.
Remove the top cover from the unit, see Figure 18, item 2.
3.
Remove the clamping ring securing the hose and filter lid to the inlet, see
Figure 18, item 3.
4.
Put the hose and filter lid aside and remove the control filter by lifting it
straight up, see Figure 18, item 4.
5.
Put the old filter in a plastic bag, or wrap it in plastic foil, see Figure 16.
NOTE!
Avoid dust spreading.
CAUTION! Risk of equipment damage
It is important that no dust, objects or debris are allowed to fall down into
the inlet of the side channel fan.
6.
Check that the two Ø 6 mm hoses connected to the top and side of the
inlet are free from dust or other deposits The hoses are connected to the
Differential Pressure Switch (DPS), see Figure 19.
7.
Insert the new control filter.
8.
Refit the filter lid and clamping ring.
9.
Refit the top cover and the exhaust duct.
10.4.2
Individual filter bags
Replacing individual filter bags is possible, but we recommend replacing the
whole filter package, including the filter panel and locking rings, as it is quicker
and causes less spreading of dust.
Individual filter bags which have been damaged may be replaced, see Figure
17. Use a robust screwdriver to detach the plastic locking ring.
The coiled spring may be kept for use with the new conductive filter bag, but
a new locking ring is to be used to secure the new conductive filter, see Figure
18.
