Unpacking and Inspection

Section 2
2.1 — General
NOTE: After unpacking, carefully inspect the contents for damage. Thoroughly inspect the unit immediately
upon delivery to determine if any damage occurred in transit. Any claims for shipping damage need to be filed
with the freight carrier as soon as possible. This is especially important if the generator is not be installed for
a period of time. Any shipping damage, whether obvious or not readily apparent, is not covered by the war-
ranty.
The standby generator set is ready for installation with a factory supplied and pre-mounted base pad and has a
weather protective enclosure that is intended for outdoor installation only.
The UL listed, 2-pole switch is rated at 200 amps, Service Rated at 250 volts maximum. The 200 Amp transfer
switch is for indoor/outdoor use (if equipped).
If any loss or damage is noted at time of delivery, have the person making the delivery note all damage on the
freight bill or affix their signature under the consignor's memo of loss or damage.
If a loss or damage is noted after delivery, separate the damaged materials and contact the carrier for claim pro-
cedures.
"Concealed damage" is understood to mean damage to the contents of a package that is not evident at the time
of delivery, but is discovered later.
