5.2.2 Removing the Tyres

BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE TYRE REMOVAL,
CHECK THAT BOTH BEADS ARE COMPLETELY
BROKEN.

5.2.2.1 Tool Positioning

Procedure:
• Press the "HOME" key to perform the radial
alignment of the tool.
In relation to the position of the bead breaker discs
previously positioned.
• The tool sets automatically and horizontally near
the edge with respect to the radial position of the
bead breaker (STANDARD mode) or of the operator
(CUSTOM mode) (Figure 5.2-7).
The reference indicated by the red arrow must be at
the same height of rim upper edge (Figure 5.2-6a).
• Position valve on tool left side (approx 5cm /
2inches) (Figure 5.2-8).
• Manually move the tool vertically using the Joystick
11 (Figure 5.2-6) until reaching the optimal start
position. The starting point is considered reached
as indicated in ( Figure 5.2-8) the reference shows
the rim edge position.
• Choose between the STANDARD or CUSTOM
demounting mode:
- STANDARD: Press the Auto key for less than 1
second to access the standard mode (One short
beep tells the operator that the selection has been
carried out and the AUTO key light remains steady
on).
- CUSTOM: Press the Auto key for more than 1
second to access the custom mode (One long beep
tells the operator that
selection has been carried out and the AUTO key
light remains steady on).
This mode allows saving the tool position regardless
of the bead breaker disc position.
The custom mode is useful when you need to work
on a series of wheels with the same size. To quit
CUSTOM mode, long press the HOME key.
Note:
the operator can quit the automatic mode
at any time by performing one of the
following operations:
- using the Joystick 11 and moving the
tool upwards
- pressing the AUTO key
- pressing the HOME key
