Maintenance and care

During each maintenance process:
• Check the backlash of the piston rod for wear of the spindle nut.
Maximum permissible backlash:

Warning
Uncontrolled moving masses can cause injury to people or damage to property
(squeezing). If a worn spindle nut breaks on a vertically or diagonally fitted DNCE, the
work mass will fall down.
• If the permissible backlash is exceeded, send the DNCE to Festo for repair.
• If necessary, clean the DNCE with a soft cloth.
Cleaning agents: Any gentle detergent.
• Lubricate the piston rod if the latter no longer has a layer of grease (grease

• Recommendation: Return the DNCE to our repair service for overhaul.
This ensures that special attention will be paid to the necessary fine adjustments and inspections.
