CHAP.2 TRANSPORTATION AND HANDLING OF THE APPLIANCE

2.1 Transportation and packing

The appliances may be transported by truck or by container.
The same type of packing is envisaged in both cases, i.e. wooden crates on pallet.
Before being packed, the appliances are protected by wrapping with low density polyethylene.
2.2
The appliances should only be handled as shown in the figure below, observing the points of
entry of the truck lift forks. The crate should not be lifted with ropes.
2.3
The methods for storing the appliances and the devices used for their handling should be
suitable to ensure that no damage is caused due to vibration, impact, abrasion, corrosion, etc..
The condition of stored appliances should be periodically checked.
