Periodic but constant maintenance of the appliance is extremely important in order to avoid
serious malfunctioning which could lead to long stops in work. All operations should be
carried out in compliance with applicable safety regulations and standards and before any
maintenance work the wall switch should therefore be put to position "O". In any case the
appliance should be kept clean and in order, avoiding any temporary or haphazard repairs.
8.1 MAINTENANCE TO BE CARRIED OUT ONCE EVERY THREE WEEKS
a) remove the wash pipes (by rotation) and the rinse pipes (by unscrewing the relative
screw) in order to clean them inside;
b) remove and wash the spray guard curtain flaps;
c) in appliances with steam condensation, clean the suction tunnel protection.
8.2 MAINTENANCE TO BE CARRIED OUT ONCE EVERY TWO MONTHS
d) check that the safety devices are efficient and in proper working order;
e) check that the safety clutch is correctly calibrated;
f) in appliances with steam condensation, check for dirt and if necessary clean;
g) if there is a heavy build-up of scale inside the appliance, remove it using a suitable
descaling product, following the instructions given by the manufacturer of the same. At the
end of descaling, rinse the appliance.
8.3 MAINTENANCE TO BE CARRIED OUT EVERY 2000 HOURS AND/OR, IN ANY
CASE, AT LEAST A TIME PER YEAR.
a) Verify the seal working P (part number 5711) and/or replace it if necessary; in order to carry
out this operation to unscrew the screw V, to take out the eccentric unit E, picking up the
feather key between shaft and hub ; to fill, in any case, the interstice between the seal lip and
the dust cover lip, with food compatible atoxic grease (type LOCTITE 8105) with reference
specifications FDA 21 CRF 178.3579 for USDA H1 and/or CNERNA for FRANCE.
