Modification of the BASE PARAMETERS
During welding, it might be necessary to modify one or more para-
meters in order to adapt the work program to the base material to
be welded.
In the AUTO mode, regulations follow a synergy, and they can be
adapted to the application.
For Example: right below is shown the modification of the ba-
lance on an AC wave shape, to be able to obtain a better cleaning
of the welding pool, due to an excessive superficial oxidation of the
base material that needs to be welded.
1. Set the welding current to
the correct value for the
piece that needs to be wel-
ded, (thickness and type of
welding).
2. Select the AC BALANCE
regulation, the digital display
on the right hand side (36)
indicates the correct value of
the AC balance referred to
the set current.

Once the new correction improves the welding result, it will be pos-
sible to return to the standard welding regulation trough the setting
of the main current.
The result will be that, for all the chosen set currents, the AC wave
shape balance, will be increased of the 11% (for this example).
This correction will remain memorised also when the machine will
be turned OFF, the machine will loose the new data only if the
welding program is changed.
To maintain the new synergy data into a new synergy curve, please
follow the JOB POINT MEMORISATION procedure (Chap. 13 to
Page 42).
