2.3 Operating principle

If one of the gas container batteries connected to the 186 vacuum
change-over device becomes empty, the contact manometer
triggers the change-over process. The change-over device changes
over to the second container battery automatically.
Signal lamps indicate the position of the valve at the control panel.
With the main switch, the 186 vacuum change-over device can be
switched to automatic operation, or the desired container battery
can be selected manually. The automatic change-over function is
only working, if the main switch is set to automatic operation mode.
Four potential-free contacts can be used for remote display of the
operating state.
