* If the contact is closed, the genset is operating and connected to the local utility grid.
** When using the signal, the Fuel Save Controller carries out a fast stop of the inverters according to the settings of the user interface of the
Fuel Save Controller (see Fuel Save Controller manual).
*** If the contact is closed, the utility grid is connected to the local utility grid.
**** If the contact is closed, the inverters are connected to the local utility grid.
Requirement:
☐ Switching current: at least 20 mA
Cable requirements:
☐ Conductor cross-section: 1.5 mm² to 2.5 mm²
☐ Conductor material: Copper
☐ Maximum cable length: 30 m
Procedure:
1. Insert the cable (see Section 9.1 "Inserting the Cables", page 47).
2. Strip the cable.
3. Strip 15 mm to 18 mm of the insulation from the cable's insulated conductors. When doing so, ensure that no
pieces of cable fall into the enclosure.
4. Connect the insulated conductors to the terminals X702:1 to X702:20 in accordance with the customer-specific
system circuitry. If the conductors are stranded wires, additionally pretension the springs of the spring-cage
terminals using a screwdriver (see Section 9.2 "Connecting the Stranded Wire to the Spring-Cage Terminal",
page 48).
5. Ensure that the insulated conductors are firmly in place.

Connecting the Contactors to the Switching Outputs

The switching outputs are multifunction relays with potential-free contacts. The Fuel Save Controller can immediately
disconnect the inverters via the signal generator DO 1 at a critical situation and switch it back on via the signal
generator DO 2. The signal generators must be connected to a circuit breaker which can connect and disconnect the
three-phase inverters from the local utility grid.
When connecting contactors to switching outputs, always proceed as follows:
