Electrical installation

Use of the battery pack:
Do not throw the battery pack into fire.
Do not open the battery pack forcibly.
Dispose of the battery pack in accordance with national regulations.
For wired power supply in hazardous areas, observe the specified
operational parameters and use a suitable safety barrier (see "Technical
data", page 62). Otherwise, intrinsic safety is not guaranteed.
If the gas detector was operated without a safety barrier, it is no longer
approved for use in hazardous areas.
1.6

During operation

Check the calibration and functionality of the gas detector after the presence
of dust deposits, immersion in liquids, or contact with water jets.
1.7

Maintenance

Service the gas detector at regular intervals. The intervals and activities are
defined in the maintenance schedule by the person responsible for the gas
detection system.
Dräger recommends carrying out the following activities every 6 months:
Test the signal chain by applying target gas to the sensor.
Check the LED display functionality with working device with the Dräger
PolySoft configuration software.
Service the sensor (e.g., change selective filter).
Calibrate the sensor (see "Calibration", page 50).
Observe valid national regulations regarding maintenance (e.g.,
EN 60079-29-2, EN 45544-4, T021/T023).
