Characteristics of the PZD 250 programmer:
The PZD 250 is a device that allows to check the status of the ZD+ luminaires, configured for RS485 communication
(check luminaires instructions), operate on them and programme them.
The programmer is composed of the following hardware elements:
1 zone for the control, programming, and checking of the luminaires. This zone has a capacity to check up to
125 luminaires. These ones must be numbered from 1 to 125 (see Numbering of Luminaires).
2 entrance connections, one is RJ4/4 type, and the other is power strip for cables of up to 2,5 mm.
Place for batteries type AA, closed by screws.
4 x 1,5V-AA batteries.
Green screen with resolution 34 x 64 mm, with incorporated light. This screen has an energy saving mode, so
if it remains 5 minutes, the programmer automatically goes off. The screen enables you to navigate around all
the options of the programmer.
A red LED for communication failures.
If the LED is on, this means that the last command sent to one a several luminaires has not been correctly
done.
A green LED indicating the device is on.
A green LED indicating communications with the luminaires. This led blinks when the programmer sends a
command.
A ON/OFF key. By pressing this key, you switch on the programmer, and by pressing more than 3 seconds,
you switch it off.
2 scroll buttons of screen menu. You can move through the different lines of the menu that appear on the
screen "up/down".
A key of command confirmation "OK". When you press this key you execute the highlighted and selected
option on the screen by using the scroll buttons.
A key to cancel commands "ANUL". By pressing on it, you leave the screen/menu you are executing.
10 numeric keys (from 0 to 9).
It also has the following software elements:
Language selection. The device allows to select the language of the information shown on the screen. (see
Change of Language).
The available languages are Spanish, English and French. If another additional language is required, please
contact Zemper (see contact details, technical service).
With this programmer, you can carry out the following operations:
Numbering the luminaires.
Switch-on/switch-off of the luminaires connected to it.
Reset of all the luminaires connected to it. Recognition of the luminaires installed in a zone. You can
memorize the luminaires recognised and the failures presented by each one.
Verification of the correct communication of the zone you are checking.
Verification of the establishment of communication with all the fixtures installed in a zone.
Switch-on, switch-off, reset of a determined luminaire of a zone.
Changing the number of a determined luminaire already installed.
The purpose of this programmer is to be a useful and necessary tool for the installation and verification of a
facility monitored by PC, so as to facilitate the installation and system maintenance.
