Connection of the PZD 250 programmer.
The programmer can be connected to a unique luminaire or to a group of luminaires through the RJ4/4 connector or
conventional power strip.
You can only connect ZD+ luminaires to the PZD 250 programmer. These luminaires must be configured for RS485
communication (see "Instructions of luminaires).

Connection of the PZD 250 programmer with only one luminaire.
This type of communication can only be established between the programmer and ZD+ luminaires, configured for
RS485 communication (see "Instructions of luminaires").
The requirements for this connection are the following ones:
Type of cable : Cable of at least two braided wires with a minimum cross section of 0,5 mm.
Communication is effected by means of two wires with polariry (+, -).
The connection between the programmer and the luminaire will be done in accordance with the following
diagram.
The maximum distance from the luminaire to the programmer is 800 meters.
Before connecting the luminaires to the programmer, it is not necessary the luminaire to be numbered. When
you connect only one luminaire to the programmer, it is generally to number it (see "Numbering of a
luminaire").
Respect the polarity of the luminaire (+, -) when you connect it to the programmer.
To establish the communication between the luminaire and the programmer, it is not necessary that the
luminaire is connected to mains supply, but it must have a minimum battery charge.
If you do not know if the luminaires have the batteries charged or not, it is necessary to connect the luminaire
to mains supply (230V-50Hz) in order to insure the correct communication.
