Connection of the PZD 250 programmer to several luminaires.
This type of communication can only be established between the programmer and ZD+ luminaires, configured for
RS485 communication (see "Instructions of the luminaires).
The requirements of this connections are the following ones:
Type of cable : Cable of at least two braided wires with a minimum cross section of 0,5 mm.
Communication is effected by means of two wires with polariry (+, -).
The connection between the programmer and the luminaire will be done in accordance with the following
diagram:
The maximum distance from the most distant luminaire to the programmer is 800 meters.
The maximum number of luminaires per zone is 125.
Before connecting the luminaires to the programmer, it is not necessary that the numbers are correlative, or
that they are sorted according to their proximity to the programmer.
The luminaires may be numbered with numbers from 1 to 125. You can not repeat numbers.
Respect the polarity of the luminaire (+, -).
To establish the communication between the programmer and the luminaires, it is not necessary that the
luminaires are connected to mains supply, but it is necessary that the luminaires have some battery charge.
If you do not know if the luminaires have the batteries charged or not, it is necessary to connect the luminaire
to mains supply (230V-50Hz) in order to insure the correct communication.
The programmer can be connected to an entire zone of an installation, or to a group of luminaires in a certain
zone (previously separating them from the rest in a vertical line or junction box).
