Switch off power supply

Dangerous voltage: The power terminals may carry dangerous voltages for some time

even if the power supply is switched off. Wait for some minutes before starting to work
at the frequency inverter.
Make sure that the frequency inverter is de- energized.

Installation notes according to UL508c
NOTICE
Integral solid state short circuit protection does not provide branch circuit protection.
Branch circuit protection must be provided in accordance with the Manufacturer Instruc-

tions, National Electrical Code and any additional local codes.
For an installation according to UL508c the motor must be supervised regarding the thermal
behaviour. The connection and the parameter settings for the temperature motor supervision
is described in chapter 5.7 "Control terminals Standard connection" of the relevant operating
instructions document.
For an installation according to UL508c only allowed fuses can be used for mains protection.
The allowed fuses are described in chapter 11.2 "Device data" of the relevant operating in-
structions document.
For an installation according to UL508c the maximum temperatures described in chapter 11.2
"Device data" of the relevant operating instructions document must not be exceeded.
For an installation according to UL508c only 60/75°C copper conductors are allowed to be
used.
For an installation according to UL508c the devices are only allowed to be used in environ-
ments according to Pollution Degree 2.
According to UL508c Warning or Marking labels are not allowed to be removed.

Short-circuit current rating

Suitable For Use On A Circuit Capable Of Delivering Not More Than 5000 rms Symmetrical Am-
peres, 480 Volts Maximum (models 402), 240 Volts Maximum (models 202) When Protected
by Fuses manufactured by Bussmann, model FWP-10A14Fa (Size 1), FWP-20A14Fa (Size 2 up
to 5.5 kW) or FWP-30A14Fa (Size 2 7.5 kW and Size 3). Drive controller and overcurrent pro-
tection device must be integrated within the same overall assembly.
Do not carry out high voltage insulation tests on cable connect to the frequency inverter.

