SETUP FOR CLINICAL USE
Transporting the Patient – Battery Power
CAUTION: The ICP Monitor is protected against ingress of dripping fluids when tilted up to 15 degrees from its upright position.
However, the fluid ingress protection may be compromised when not positioned upright, for example if transporting while on the
patient bed. Always ensure that the cooling vents (see Figure 2) are unblocked and kept away from fluid sources.
The ICP Monitor includes a rechargeable lithium ion battery (refer to Recommended Accessories and Reordering Information
section), that supplies power to the ICP Monitor for at least 3 hours when the battery is fully charged. It is recommended to leave
the ICP Monitor connected to a power supply during routine use. The battery should only be used for short periods of time when a
power supply is not available, e.g., during patient transport.
Replacing the Battery

• Do not open the battery compartment or attempt to replace the battery while monitoring a patient or while the device is
connected to the AC power Supply.
• Do not puncture the battery.
