ON/OFF
Switch the Lite-Com III on or off by pressing and holding ON/OFF for about two seconds. A
tone confirms that the Lite-Com III has been switched on or off.
SURROUND (Volume of ambient sounds)
When the Lite-Com III is used as an active listening hearing protector, the ambient sound
volume is controlled with the UP (+) or DOWN (–) level selectors. Adjustments are confirmed
by a voice message and displayed on the LCD. Ambient sounds can also be switched off
completely by adjusting the volume to the lowest setting with the DOWN (–) button and holding
it in for two seconds. A tone indicates that the ambient sound is switched off.
WARNING! This setting means that the ambient sound coming through the hearing protector is
reduced and may not be detectable. To reactivate the ambient sound, press UP (+) and the Lite-
Com III will again function as an active listening hearing protector with a noise level limiting.
