SAFETY IN
TRANSPORTATION
ƒ Turn off the tractor PTO, the
engine and remove the key
from the ignition before you
regulate, lubricate or perform
any maintenance services in
the machine. Never perform any
repairs or adjustments when the
machine is on.
ƒ Always put all hydraulic controls
of the tractor with gear lever in
neutral before you turn it off or
work on the hydraulic system.
ƒ Make sure all systems components
are kept in good state.
ƒ Replace immediately damaged,
crushed or spoiled hoses.
ƒ In case you have been injured
by high-pressure hydraulic fluids,
seek medical help immediately.
Serious infection or a toxic reaction
might occur when hydraulic fluid
gets in contact with the skin
surface.
ƒ Make use of appropriate protection
on hands and eyes when you
check if there are any high-
pressure leaks in the hydraulic
system. Use a piece of wood or a
card instead of using your hands
to isolate and identify a hydraulic
fluid leakage.
ƒ
Remember: moving components due to inertia keep
moving for longer even when the machine is turned
off. Before you touch any machine parts, turn off
the power supply, check and listen if there is no
evidence of movement. Only touch any machine
components if you are absolutely sure that they are
stationary. Always be alert!

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

ƒ If it is necessary to work on the machine when
it is suspended by the hydraulic system, you
must lean the machine in a safe way. Hydraulic
systems can lower by themselves, or due to leaks
and might cause an accident.
ƒ Do not lean the machine on concrete blocks,
hollow bricks or any other supports that might
crumble by the effect of extended loads.
ƒ Never work under a machine only suspended by
a jack. Always use a safe support.
ƒ Always put all hydraulic controls of the tractor
with gear lever in neutral before you turn it off or
work on the hydraulic system.
ƒ Make sure all systems components are kept in
good state.
ƒ Replace immediately damaged, crushed or
spoiled hoses.
