6 REMOVING FROM THE PACKAGE

6.1 RECEIVING

6.1.1 Receiving
A visual inspection - internal and external - should be performed immediately upon receiving the ABW Compact
before removing it from the truck. The transportation documents should be checked to ensure that all boxes or
accompanying parts have been received. If any damage or fault is evident, a complaint against the carrier should
be immediately submitted to the nearest WEG sales office. Complaints of missing items or other errors must be
submitted in writing to WEG within 30 days from the receipt of the ABW Compact. Failure to do so constitutes
unconditional acceptance and waiver of all such complaints by the buyer.
6.2 REMOVING FROM THE PACKAGE
6.2.1 Removing from the package
1. Before unpacking the circuit breaker, make sure all boxes and packaging are in good condition.
2. When unpacking, check that the circuit breaker is in good condition.
3. Check that the information provided on the nameplate/accessories matches the order.
4. Take care when unpacking to avoid damaging the products. Unpack carefully to prevent the product from
falling of the pallets and means of transportation.
After unpacking, install the products at the final installation location as soon as possible. If you cannot install
the products immediately, it is advisable not to remove the packaging. Keep the products in a sheltered
place at approximately 15 °C with less than 50% humidity. Standard packaging for domestic transportation
is not suitable for outdoor storage.
If you cannot observe the above conditions, it is necessary to inspect the degree of damage before installing
the products. Improper preservation may affect product quality and create an additional accident hazard.
6.2.2 Removing from the package
1. After unpacking the product as shown in Figure 1, make sure that the truck base is facing the floor.
2. Grasp the base of the truck and remove it from the box.
3. When removing the truck from the box, do not hold the control terminal block. If the product is damaged, it is
the customer's responsibility.
