7 HANDLING AND STORING

7.1 HANDLING

This circuit breaker and truck are designed to be easily moved by overhead lifting devices such as hoists. Optionally
you can use lifting hooks to move them without difficulty. All transport devices must be suitable for the permissible
weight of the product shown in Table 5-1.

7.1.1 Handling precautions

1. To lift the circuit breaker, use the lifting hooks on the sides of the breaker and lift it with a sling or the like.
2. When placing the circuit breaker on the floor, be careful to avoid impact and falls.
3. When the withdrawable circuit breaker is lifted with the truck, raise it to the connected position.
4. Do not slide the circuit breaker during handling.

7.2 STORING

7.2.1 Storage Precautions

When storing a circuit breaker for a long time:
1. Keep the circuit breaker in the off position with the spring unloaded.
2. Store the withdrawable circuit breaker in the flat place after selecting the TEST position.

7.2.2 Storage method

1. Store the circuit breaker in a dust free and dry environment.
2. Keep the circuit breaker in the off position with the spring unloaded.
3. Cover the circuit breaker with a plastic sheeting or similar protection. When commissioning the circuit breaker
after a long period of storage, it is not necessary to lubricate the circuit breaker parts.
4. Keep the circuit breaker in a sheltered place at approximately 15 °C with less than 50% humidity.
5. Standard packaging for domestic transportation is not suitable for outdoor storage. If you cannot observe the
above conditions, it is necessary to inspect the degree of damage before installing the products.
6. Improper preservation may affect product quality and create an additional accident hazard.
