6.3 VERIFICATION POINTS AND CARE
Please read the following checkpoints and cautions carefully as they provide critical content that must be confirmed
before unpacking, inspecting, installing, etc.
6.3.1 Verification points when receiving
1. A visual inspection - internal and external - should be performed immediately upon receiving the ABW Compact
before removing it from the truck. If any damage or fault is evident, a complaint against the carrier should be
immediately submitted to the nearest WEG sales office.
2. Unpack carefully to prevent the product from falling of the pallets and means of transportation.
3. After unpacking, install the products at the final installation location as soon as possible. If you cannot install
the products immediately, it is advisable not to remove the packaging. Keep the products in a sheltered place
at approximately 15 °C with less than 50% humidity. Standard packaging for domestic transportation is not
suitable for outdoor storage. If you cannot observe the above conditions, it is necessary to inspect the degree
of damage before installing the products. Improper preservation may affect product quality and create an
additional accident hazard.
6.3.2 Precautions in the installation inspection
1. First confirm that all power sources are completely de-energized.
2. Disconnect all electrical switches that may operate during the inspection.
3. Disconnect all plugs connected to the operating part of the product (shunt opening release, protection relay, etc.).
4. For the withdrawable type, remove the product from the truck until the guide reaches the TEST position. (Basic
inspection is available in the TEST position.)
5. In case of detailed inspection, remove the circuit breaker from the truck safely and place it on the leveled base.
6. Inspect the product.
