NOTE: Any parameter changes other than pressure setpoints must be made when
the systems is idle.
1. H H o o m m e e S S c c r r e e e e n n : : In normal operation, this screen displays the current system
status. For setup, press the E E n n t t e e r r key (right arrow) to move to the next
screen.
2. M M o o t t o o r r T T y y p p e e : : When using a standard pressure sensor:
S S U U B B configures the drive for use with a submersible motor.
C C E E N N (2a) configures the drive for an above-ground motor with a centrifu-
gal pump.
F F E E M M A A G G F F O O R R C C E E (2b) allows selection of a specific FE MagForce permanent
magnet motor and pump.
NOTE: Drives sold as SUB models can be configured for either SUB or CEN
types. CEN drive models can only be configured for CEN.
3. M M o o t t o o r r V V o o l l t t a a g g e e : : After a motor type has been selected, the screen displays the
output voltage and frequency based on the drive specifications and motor se-
lection. Press E E n n t t e e r r to continue.
(3c) If the F F E E M M A A G G F F O O R R C C E E motor type has been selected, use the next
screen to choose the part number of a specific FE MagForce motor. The fol-
lowing screen allows selection of the pump horsepower rating being used
with the motor. These selections automatically configure the drive parame-
ters for Motor Max Current, Motor RS, Motor LD, and Motor LQ.
(3d) If the correct FE MagForce part number is not listed above, check for
a drive software update first, as new models may have been added. If the
latest drive software does not include your FE MagForce model, the C C u u s s - -
t t o o m m M M o o d d e e l l option allows motor parameters to be adjusted manually using
values found on the motor nameplate.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT use the Custom option for non-Franklin Electric perma-
nent magnet motors. Only FE MagForce models can be configured to work with
a SubDrive Connect Plus.
NOTE: Selecting the incorrect motor voltage rating may result in poor system
operation or nuisance faults.
4. M M a a x x A A m m p p s s : : This value is used to configure various protection features (pump
underload, motor overload, etc.).
If a S S U U B B or C C E E N N motor type has been selected, this value should match
the Service Factor Amps or Maximum Amps rating listed on the motor
nameplate.
If a F F E E M M a a g g F F o o r r c c e e motor has been configured, this parameter defaults to
the SFA rating of the motor at the designated pump power rating.
If a F F E E M M a a g g F F o o r r c c e e C C u u s s t t o o m m motor model has been configured, this parame-
ter defaults to 1A and must be adjusted as appropriately.
5. S S e e n n s s o o r r T T y y p p e e : : Configures the drive for the type of pressure transducer or sen-
sor being used. Selecting T T r r a a n n s s d d u u c c e e r r displays the S S e e n n s s o o r r R R a a n n g g e e screen. If a
standard P P r r e e s s s s u u r r e e S S e e n n s s o o r r (5A) is selected, the target pressure is set using the
adjusting screw on the sensor itself. The S S y y s s t t e e m m R R e e s s p p o o n n s s e e screen is displayed next for Pressure Sensor use.
6. S S e e n n s s o o r r R R a a n n g g e e : : This is only configurable when the sensor type is transducer. This setting scales system operation to the in-
stalled transducer. The range is 100 to 300, with a default setting of 200 psi.
S S e e t t p p o o i i n n t t s s : : Drive speed control is based on the difference between the setpoint and the transducer feedback value. As user
demand (flow) causes pressure changes, the drive varies the output frequency (motor speed) to maintain pressure at or
near the target setpoint.
