Periodic Maintenance

The latest firmware file can be downloaded from the Download tab of the SubDrive Connect Plus page
on www.franklinwater.com.
NOTE: A good quality, USB 2.0 compliant or newer device is required. Some older or lower-cost devices
may not be recognized by the drive.
Firmware Update Instructions
1.
Remove power from the drive and allow 5 minutes for internal
voltage to dissipate.
2. Remove the drive cover.
3. Insert the USB device into the USB port (lower left corner) on
the Control Board.
4. Apply power to the drive.
5. When the USB Detected screen displays, press the U U P P button
to start the firmware update.
6. The status of the firmware update progress bar is shown on
the display. The drive may restart a couple of times during the
update.
7. The firmware update is complete when the display shows the
USB Detected Screen without the Update Firmware option.
8. Remove the USB device.
9. Remove power from the drive and allow 5 minutes for internal
voltage to dissipate.
10. Reinstall the drive cover before applying power to the drive.
Fault Log Download
The fault and configuration history can be downloaded to a USB device or accessed via the mobile app.
Download Log File to USB Device
1.
Remove power from the drive and allow 5 minutes for internal voltage to dissipate.
2. Remove the drive cover.
3. Insert the USB device into the USB port (lower left corner) on the Control Board.
4. Apply power to the drive.
5. When the USB Detected screen displays, press the D D O O W W N N button to start downloading the faults
log file to the USB device.
6. The Download Log File progress bar is shown on the display, and disappears when the download is
complete. The display then shows the USB Detected Screen.
7. Remove power from the drive and allow 5 minutes for internal voltage to dissipate.
8. Remove the USB device.
9. Reinstall the drive cover before applying power to the drive.
