Requirements for operation

Risk of severe personal injury and property damage and even death from heat and fire due to
improper handling of the kiln.

INFORMATION
The use of firing logs is recommended to achieve reproducible results.
Notes on operation:
⇒
Do not place any objects on or near the kiln.
⇒ Only operate the kiln in a well-ventilated room. There must be at least one window that can be opened. An
installation space with a supply and exhaust air system is recommended.
⇒ For reliable operation of the kiln, make sure that the ambient temperature is between -5°C and a maximum of
+30°C.
⇒
Make sure the kiln is free-standing.
⇒ Ensure unhindered heat radiation.
⇒
Make sure the kiln is left closed as long as it is still in operation or has not cooled down completely.
⇒
Opening the kiln early can lead to hot gases escaping and thus to the risk of fire and injury. In addition, it can
damage the bricks and heating elements. The manufacturer assumes no liability for this.

If necessary, install an exhaust system with suitable ducting. Ask a ventilation technician or chimney sweep
about this.
⇒
Never fire flammable materials.

Safety and protective work clothing

When operating the ELS Frontloader, the operating personnel must wear appropriate protective clothing. Hot, escaping
gases can lead to injuries.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for personal injury or property damage!
8.4. Switching the kiln on & off
8.4.1. Switching ELS 150-ELS 480 without eDrive on & off
The kiln is energised by plugging the power cable into the socket and disconnected from the power by pulling the
power cable from the socket.
⇒ The kiln is switched on and off by the main switch on the control unit. The firing operation is also started and
stopped by the control unit.
⇒ It is essential that you first read the relevant instruction manual for the control system carefully!
Comply with the requirements for the operating location of the kiln.
Do not put flammable material on the kiln.
Keep combustible material at least 4 m away.
