13.6. Adjusting the door catch

It may be necessary to readjust the door hinges so that the door of the kiln seals optimally.
Step Action
1 Switch off the kiln and let it cool down.
2 Open the kiln door.
3 Loosen the locknut of the bolt on the door catch (kiln door).

Screw in the hexagon bolt on the door catch half a turn to a full
turn.

Tighten the screw's locknut again.
⇒ Hold the screw with a second tool so that it does not twist
again, and the setting is lost.
Check whether the door rests evenly on the kiln casing and

closes.
Make sure that the sealing cord (insulating cord) is correctly
7
positioned on the kiln door to the kiln casing.
8 Use the same adjustment procedure for the second door catch.
