EXTENSION OF THE STATUTORY RIGHTS
This limited manufacturer's warranty of Össur. applies to the ultimate
purchaser of the PROPRIO FOOT ® ("customer"). Statutory claims of the
customer or claims of the customer against the vendor/ retailer of the
PROPRIO FOOT are neither excluded or limited as a consequence
thereof.
WARRANTY PERIOD
24-month warranty
The warranty period is 24 months from the time the device was invoiced
by Össur. In the event of resale or other change of ownerr, the claim
under the warranty will, for the remaining warranty period, transfer to the
new owner.
Additional guarantee ranging from 36 – 60 months can be purchased
separately, at point of sales or at latest within 20 months after initial
purchase date.
AREA OF VALIDITY OF THE WARRANTY
This limited manufacturer's warranty is valid and enforceable worldwide.
SCOPE OF THE WARRANTY
Össur guarantees that the PROPRIO FOOT is free from any quality
defects at the time of delivery and that such a quality defect will also not
occur at a later point in time within the warranty period, provided that the
PROPRIO FOOT is used for its designated purpose. A quality defect is
understood to be the case when the PROPRIO FOOT is not in the
condition referred to in the functional description given in the product
documentation of the PROPRIO FOOT (part of the product package), in
which respect insignificant anomalies are not taken into account. Certain
cases, outlined in this document, are excluded from the warranty
coverage. During the warranty period,defective PROPRIO FOOT will, at
the sole discretion of Össur, be repaired or replaced, as the case may be,
either by Össur or an authorised distributor. The customer will either
receive the repaired PROPRIO FOOT from Össur or a functional
replacement. Exchanged parts or mounting parts will become the
property of Össur. Any additional claims against Össur cannot be made
pursuant to this limited manufacturer's warranty. Össur will only provide
service through clinicians that are trained and certified by Össur on the
use of this product.
ENFORCEABILITY OF THE WARRANTY
In order for the warranty payment to be enforceable, the defect must be
reported to Össur within thirty (30) days of such defect having occurred
within the warranty period. The defective PROPRIO FOOT must be sent
to Össur within thirty (30) days of such defect having occurred within the
warranty period and the original purchase receipt must be included. The
postmark attesting to the date of dispatch is decisive for establishing
observance of the time-limit for reporting defects and returning products.
MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS
Precondition for obtaining 48 – 60-month cover under the warranty is
that the PROPRIO FOOT is sent to Össur, for the purpose of carrying out
