4. DESCRIPTION OF THE MENU
4.1 MAIN MENU
- Move with the cursors, select 1. and press
"Enter
" to execute the battery test.
- Move with the cursors, select 2. and press

" to execute the cranking system
test.
- Move with the cursors, select 3. and press

4.2 TEST BATTERY
- Select "TEST BATTERY".
- Select the battery type:
STANDARD WET, AGM FLAT PLATE, AGM
SPIRAL, GEL, EFB.
- Select the battery standard:
- BCI:
Battery
Standard.
- CA: Cranking Amps Standard.
- MCA: Marine Cranking Amps Standard.
- JIS: Japan Industrial Standard.
- DIN: German Auto Industry Committee
Standard.
- IEC:
International
Commission Standard.
- EN: European Automobile Industry
Association Standard.
- SAE: Society of Automotive Engineers
Standard.
- GB: China National Standard.
- Select the CCA of the battery inside the
ranges permitted:
- CCA/SAE: 100÷2000
- BCI: 100 ÷ 2000
- GB: 30 ÷ 220
- EN: 100÷2000
- DIN: 100÷1400
- IEC: 100÷1400
- JIS: 26A17÷245H2
- CA/MCA: 100÷2000
NOTE:
CCA = Cold Cranking Amps.
The CCA value is declared in amps by the
" (Fig. A-4) to return to the
Council

Test outcome
Once the test is complete, the display will
show:
the health condition in (%), the CCA in (A),
the charge status in (%), the voltage (V),
the internal resistance in (mOhm), the rated
current value (data plate) of the battery.
The display also shows:
- GOOD BATTERY:
The battery is good and capable of
maintaining charge.
- GOOD - CHARGE:
The battery is good, but must be charged
ATTENTION: The battery can be restored,
but over time the engine cranking capacity
will be reduced. The battery may not work
in extreme weather conditions. There
may be a connection problem between
the vehicle and the battery that inhibits
the charge function. Pay attention and
consider replacing the battery and check
the charge system.
- RETEST CHARGE:
The battery is flat, the battery conditions
cannot be determined until it is fully
charged. Charge and retest battery.
- REPLACE:
The battery is not capable of maintaining
charge. It must be replaced as soon as
possible.
- FAULTY CELL REPLACE:
The battery has at least one short circuiting
cell. It should be replaced immediately.
Test print-out
- Press "Enter
want to print the test.
- Press "Enter" to confirm, "Return
the test.
- Disconnect the clamps at the end of
printing.
4.3 TEST CRANKING SYSTEM
- Select "TEST CRANKING" from the main
menu.
- Before starting the engine, switch off all
the vehicle charges, such as the lights, air
conditioning, radio, etc.
- When the engine has started, the cranking
time, the cranking voltage and the
evaluation on cranking will be displayed:
- CRANKING NORMAL / OK:
The
cranking
