12. Operating the machine

Risk of injury!
Carefully read and observe the
entire section "For your safety"
before operating the machine.
(
4.)
For safety reasons, the machine
must not be used on slopes with an
inclination of more than 10°
(17.6%).
A slope inclination of 17.6%
corresponds to a vertical height
increase of 17.6 cm for a 100 cm
horizontal distance.
● Familiarise yourself with the controls on
the machine before using it. (
● Before operating the machine, inspect
the maintenance schedule and carry
out all relevant maintenance
operations. (
14.1)
● Check the safety devices before each
use. (
11.)
The ride-on mower must not be
operated if safety devices are missing
or damaged or have been bypassed or
modified.

12.1 Filling the fuel tank

Do not fill the fuel tank completely,
but fill to approx. 4 cm below the
edge of the filler neck so that the
fuel has room to expand.
Maximum tank capacity: 6 litres

Fuel recommendation:
Unleaded petrol; fresh, good quality fuel.
Please consult the engine instruction
manual for details on the fuel quality
(octane rating).
Filling procedure:
● Stop the engine and allow it to cool
down (warm to the touch). (
● Engage the parking brake. (
To prevent fuel spillage, use a
suitable funnel (not included in
standard equipment) when filling
up.
Pour in the fuel slowly and carefully. In
order to prevent the fuel from overflowing,
filling should be performed in several
stages.
8.)
Remove the funnel between the individual
filling operations in order to visually check
the filling level in the tank on the tank
display.
The more fuel has already been filled into
the tank, the smaller the filling quantities
should be for each filling operation.
Tank cap:
Unscrew and remove tank cap (1).
● Fill the fuel tank using an appropriate
funnel. Observe the tank display in
order to prevent overflow.

The fuel level in the tank can be read off
via tank display (2). Fill the tank with fuel
until the fuel level has reached the upper
marking.
● Screw on the tank cap. Then tighten the
tank cap hand-tight.
● Wipe away any spilled fuel and allow it
to evaporate before starting the engine.

12.2 Starting the engine

Avoid damage to the machine!
If the engine does not start
immediately, leave breaks between
the starting attempts.
Never leave the ignition key in the
"start engine" position for more than
10 seconds.
Before starting:
● Check the engine oil level. (
