This accessory is intended for use in applying traction to a patient's head, arms and upper body.
It is compatible with Arjo Enterprise® (5000, 5000X, 8000, 8000X, 9000, 9000X), Citadel and
Citadel Plus.
Refer to the bed instructions for use to check compatibility before using this accessory
Traction must only be applied under the guidance of a clinically qualified person.
If a serious incident occurs in relation to this medical device, affecting the user, or the
patient then the user or patient should report the serious incident to the medical device
manufacturer or the distributor. In the European Union, the user should also report the
serious incident to the Competent Authority in the member state where they are located.

Installation and use

1. Remove the head end panel from the bed.
2. Install the traction assembly (1) on the outside of the backrest frame (2) with the pole angled
up and away from the bed as shown.
3. Position the clamp plate (3) on the inside of the backrest frame and secure it to the traction
assembly with the four socket head screws (4).
Always use the correct size Allen (hexagon) key to tighten the screws – using other tools
may result in the screws not being properly tightened.
