Cut of thick branches

Carry out a relieving cut (A) 20 cm in front of the chosen cut point (B), where you will then make the sectioning cut.
If the wood locks the chain (16) while cutting, stop the motor, lift the trunk and change its position.
Do not try to free the chain (16) by pulling the tool from the handle (1).
5.4

Tool transport

When carrying the tool, keep its bar (15) facing backwards and inside its guard (3).
For long transports taking more than 15 minutes, keep the tool in its packaging. This prevents accidental damages to
things and/or injuries to people and/or damages to the tool during transport.
Use the tool only for the aims described in par. "Product description". Any other kind of use may cause injuries.
5.5

Storing the tool

In case of long periods of tool inactivity:
• Follow all the maintenance indications in the manual.
• Empty the oil reservoir (20) and close its plug (11).
• Remove the cutting residues (sawdust) from the front cover (2) and perfectly clean and re-assemble the tool.
• Put the bar (15) into its guard (3).
5.6

Troubleshooting

FAULT
The tool does not work.
The chain stops.
Lubrication is not enough.
The chain skips while cutting.
The tool has no power.

6 MAINTENANCE

6.1

Routine maintenance

• All the maintenance operations which are not described in this manual have to be performed in an Authorized
Service Point.
• The routine maintenance operations can be carried out by the operators.
6.1.1

General

The routine maintenance operations can be carried out by the operators.
Before any maintenance operation:
• Put the ON/OFF switch (5) in OFF position.
• Disconnect the power supply cable (13).
• Put-on anti-puncture safety gloves.

CAUSE
a) The ON/OFF switch (5) is in
OFF position.
b) The chain (16) is not tensioned
enough.
c) The battery is flat.
a) Scarce lubrication. Low oil level
in the reservoir (20).

a) Scarce lubrication. Low oil level
in the reservoir (20).
b) The lubrication pump is obs-
tructed by cutting residues.

REMEDY
a) Put the switch (5) in ON position.
b) Regulate the chain (16) tension by means of the
bar adjusting screw (17).
c) Recharge the battery.
a) Add oil in the reservoir (20) using the plug (11).
b) Regulate the chain (16) tension by means of
the bar adjusting screw (17).
a) Add oil in the reservoir (20) using the plug (11).
b) Disassemble the front guard (2) and remove the
cutting residues.
c) Take the tool to an Authorized Service Point.
a) Sharpen the chain (16).
b) Replace the chain (16).
Recharge the battery.
