Problem
The grinder (3) does
not work. No espresso
is ground.
The bean container (1)
cannot be placed on.
Espresso or milk has an
unpleasant taste.
A large amount of
steam is produced in
the brewing process.
Possible cause
If the grinder operates for
longer than 3 minutes without
interruption, it is temporarily
switched off as a safety measure.
The grinding collar is not inserted
in the grinder (3) correctly.
The grinder (3) is blocked.
The bean container (1) is not
inserted correctly.
Coffee beans are blocking the
opening of the grinder (3).
The bean container is in the
wrong position.
The catch at the bottom of the
bean container is not in the
correct position.
The grinding collar is not inserted
in the grinder (3) correctly.
The espresso beans are too old.
The water in the water tank (6)
is no longer fresh.
The device is furred up.
Fix
Wait approx. 6 minutes and try
again. A break between multiple
grinding operations protects the
grinder.
When the grinding collar is
locked in place, you must be able
to feel obvious resistance. Then
fl ip down the metal clip.
Clean the grinder.
Follow the tips in the following
lines.
Remove from the grinder all
coffee beans that are sticking up
above the grinding collar.
When you insert the bean
container, hold it so that the
grinding fi neness scale at the back
and the scale arrow with the lock
symbol on the bean container
and the scale mark on the device
are aligned (Picture F).
Twist the catch on the bean
container so that it is fully closed
(Picture G).
When the grinding collar is
locked in place, you must be able
to feel obvious resistance. Then
fl ip down the metal clip.
Empty the bean container (1),
clean the grinder (3) and add
new espresso beans.
Clean the water tank and add
fresh water. Do not leave water
residues standing for a long time.
Descale the device.
