The steering system is operated by a chain 1 (fig.19), which transmits the motion from the sprocket
2, on the steering wheel, to the crown wheel 3 on the wheel.To adjust any backlash which may
occur on the steering wheel, move the chain stretcher 4, using screws 5.

The brakes are mounted on rear wheels and stop
the sweeper and keep it stationary on slopes.
1) The braking system acts on the rear wheels by
means of shoes inside the wheels.
2) The brake pedal 2 (fig.20) is of mechanical
type. To lock the pedal in parking position, use
lever 1.
3) When the brake shoes tend not to stop the
sweeper, adjust the brake by means of register
3 on each side of the rear wheels.
Vacuum fan 1 (fig.21) sucks up the dust raised by
the brushes. The vacuum fan turn by means of an
electric motor 2 (fig.21) activated by the switch
20 (fig.1).
When the sweeper works the vacuum fan must
always operate with the exception of the following
cases:
• If there is water on the floor,
• When shaking the dust filter
