PREPARATION FOR USE

This chapter describes the steps necessary to prepare the TheraKair Visio MRS for use.

Check Out Procedures

1. Remove the mattress and the therapy unit from their packaging.
Do not use sharp instruments to open packaging. Damage could result to mattress,
cover sheet, therapy unit or mattress hose.
2. Inventory and visually inspect that the following items are present and in good condition:

One TheraKair Visio MRS Therapy Unit
•
One TheraKair Visio MRS Form Fitted Cover Sheet
•
One TheraKair Visio MRS Mains Power Supply Cord
•
One TheraKair Visio MRS Mattress
•
One TheraKair Visio MRS Tote Bag
•
One TheraKair Visio MRS User Manual
Contact carrier and Arjo immediately if damage is observed.

Preparing the System for Use

Fitting the Mattress to the Bed

1. Level the bed and adjust to the lowest height.
2. Remove the hospital mattress from the bed.
3. Place the TheraKair Visio MRS Tote Bag on the hospital bed.
4. Open the tote bag and remove the mattress and the cover sheet. Unfasten the straps on
the mattress. Place such that the air cushions are on top of the mattress and the hose
connections are towards the foot of the bed.
5. Fit the cover sheet to the mattress.
