Requirement
— The filter unit is suitable for a filter integrity test.
— The outlet tube is depressurized.
Procedure
Check that all three valve actuators are in the [close] position.
t
Push the system rail extension down with the air filter holder and remove
t
the air filter.
Connect the air filter (2) and pressure safety device (1) with the tri-clamp.
t
Connect the filter integrity tester with the pressure safety device.
t
Clamp the clear tank in the air filter holder.
t
Check that there are no kinks in the tubes.
t
Move the filter unit into the emptying position.
t
Put the venting valve actuator and outlet valve actuator in the [open]
t
position.
Define the parameters in the filter integrity tester (for parameters, see
t
Chapter 12.5, page 44).
Start the diffusion program on the filter integrity tester (see filter integrity
t
tester instructions).
The filter unit empties.

When the filter integrity test ends:
t
Put the venting valve actuator in the [close] position.
t
Put the outlet valve actuator in the [close] position.
t
Uninstall the filter integrity tester from the pressure safety device.
t
Uninstall the safety pressure device from the air filter and keep it in a se-
t
cure place.
6.5 Emptying the Filter Unit
6.5.1 Gravimetrical Emptying of the Filter Unit
Requirements
— The filtration process is ended.
— The system is not under pressure.
Procedure
Move the filter unit into the emptying position.
t
If required: Adjust the height of the system rail with the air filter holder to
t
prevent kinks in the venting tube.
Put the venting valve actuator in the [open] position.
t
Put the outlet valve actuator in the [open] position.
t
The filter unit empties.

Once no more liquid is flowing out of the filter unit: Put the outlet valve
t
actuator and venting valve actuator in the [close] position.
