KEMPER CleanAirTower Instruction manual - EN
2.5 Safety instructions for maintenance and troubleshooting
of the filtration unit
Observe the intervals for periodic checks specified or mentioned in the Instruction
Manual.
Appropriate workshop equipment is absolutely necessary for execution of
maintenance operations.
Preparatory, maintenance and repair operations as well as troubleshooting may be
carried out only if the unit is turned off and after having the constructional groups
cooled down (or use protective gloves)!
Make note of mutual positions of individual components before disassembling!
Bolted joints loosened during maintenance and repair works must always be
tightened! If specified, the relevant bolts must be tightened with a torque wrench.
At the beginning of maintenance/repair/care it is particularly necessary to remove
impurities from connections and bolted joints.

2.6 Caution with Respect to Special Risks

Electric Installation
Works on the electric equipment of the filtration unit may be carried out only by a
qualified electrician or trained personnel under management and supervision of a
qualified electrician in accordance with electro-technical regulations!
Before opening the switchboard, the unit has to be disconnected from the mains by
pulling the mains plug out.
In case of a defect of filtration device power supply, disconnect the filtration unit from
the mains by pulling the plug out of the socket immediately!
Use solely original fuses with the specified current values!
The electrical components on which inspection, maintenance and repair works are to
be made must be free of voltage. The means through which disconnection from the
mains has been made must be secured against unintentional or spontaneous
activation (by fuses locking, disconnectors blocking, etc.). In case of the parts
disconnected from the mains check at first whether they are not energized and then
insulate the adjacent components which are under voltage. When carrying out
repairs, make always sure that any changes of constructional properties (such as
shortening of surface and aerial paths or distances of insulations) are not made!
If execution of operations with the energized unit are required (in exceptional
situations only), a person able to pull the mains plug of the filtration unit out of the
socket must be present. Use only insulated tools. Electric system grounding must be
ensured through a system of protective conductors.
Check cables for damage regularly and replace them if necessary.
