into another component power outlet (e.g.
timer, etc.) but power to that unit is discon-
nected.
No power supplied to unit.
Connect securely.
Connecting cords are disconnected from termi-
nals, or connected incorrectly.
e Terminals, or connecting cords pin plugs are
dirty.
e The TAPE 2 MONITOR switch ® is set to ON
(except when using an adaptor component).
Operation of other components is incorrect.
No sound.
Clean terminals and plugs.
e Set switch @ to OFF.
e Consult the operating instructions for the other
components.
e Set one switch or both switches to "ON".
e Both SPEAKERS
selector switches are set to
"OFF" (A-203 only)
e The position of the Input Selector (2) does not
match the component to be played back.
e Set the switch ® correctly (CD, PHONO,
TUNER, TAPE
1/DAT).
Connect securely.
