5.0 Operations
- General precautions
The Monty 8700 tire changer is designed for use with
the wheels mentioned previously. It operates accor-
ding to preset parameters that guarantee the smooth
running and perfect repeatability of all operations.
For the operations to be perfectly successful the ope-
rator must set the controls correctly and supervise the
entire work cycle.
The Semi-Automatic operation is therefore the main
feature of the tire changer.
WARNING:
USING THE MACHINE IN "MANUAL MODE" OR
"SEMI-AUTOMATIC" OR INCORRECTLY MAY
DAMAGE THE TIRES, RIMS AND THE MACHINE
ITSELF.
WARNING:
USING THE MACHINE IN "MANUAL MODE" OR
"SEMI-AUTOMATIC" MEANS THAT THE OPERATOR
MUST TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL
OPERATIONS.
CAUTION:
BEFORE MOUNTING A TIRE ON A RIM ENSURE
THE FOLLOWING RULES ARE OBSERVED:
A- THE RIM MUST BE CLEAN AND IN GOOD
CONDITION: IF NECESSARY CLEAN AFTER
REMOVING ALL WHEEL-WEIGHTS INCLUDING
'TAPE WEIGHTS' INSIDE THE RIM.
B- THE TIRE MUST BE CLEAN AND DRY, WITH
NO DAMAGE TO THE BEAD AND THE CASING.
C- REPLACE THE RUBBER VALVE STEM WITH
A NEW ONE OR REPLACE THE 'O' RING IF THE
VALVE STEM IS MADE OF METAL.
D- LUBRICATION IS NECESSARY FOR CORRECT
MOUNTING OF THE TIRE AND PROPER
CENTERING. USE ONLY AN APPROVED
LUBRICANT FOR TIRES.
E- MAKE SURE THE TIRE IS THE CORRECT
SIZE FOR THE RIM.
