Operations
Beading of Standard Tyres with Tube:
• Ensure that both the beads and the inside of the
rim are thoroughly lubricated.
• Screw the valve insert.
• Connect the compressed air hose to the valve
(Figure 5.8-1 / 5.8-3).
• Arrange the tube inside the tyre. The use of talc
can make this operation easier.
• Operate the compressed air to ensure the beads
are seated.
STOP THE COMPRESSED AIR AS SOON AS THE
BEADS GRIP THE RIM WELL.
• Place the wheel in a type-approved cage to fi nish
infl ating and completely settle the beads in their
seats on the rim.
Beading Tubeless tyres:
Perform the beading with the wheel locked on the tyre
changer.
Beading tubeless tyres is sometimes diffi cult because
the beads may be very close to each other (e.g. due to
incorrect storage) thus not permitting a correct sealing
against the rim.
In this event it may be helpful to place the wheel on
the fl oor in a vertical position and 'bounce' it while
introducing air with the pedal control or with the infl
ating gun (Figure 5.8-1).
Beading with Tubeless device:
The machine can be provided with a Tubeless device,
necessary for bead seating of tubeless tyres.
• Connect the compressed air hose to the valve
(Figure 5.8-2).
• Position the Tubeless device Beading Nozzle
between tyre and rim, pointing the air jet inside
the tyre (Figure 5.8-3).
• Press the key (1 Fig.5.8-4) on the Nozzle.
• Press the inflation pedal (2 Fig.5.8-3) and the
button (1 Fig.5.8-4) on the Nozzle. The injectors
(3 Fig.5.8-4) eject a large volume of air and the
tyre beads properly seal the rim fl anges allowing
the subsequent infl ation.
