the operating manual is not stored directly in the device, but rather is
|
kept in an easily accessible location in the operating rooms of the
system.

Requirements for electrical experts

Qualification

An electrical expert is a person who possesses the required knowledge as
a result of technical training and experience.
This includes knowledge of:
the connection, disconnection, isolation, earthing, and short-circuiting
|
of electrical circuits and devices,
the standard maintenance and use of protective devices according to
|
defined safety standards,
the administration of emergency first-aid to injured parties.
|

Responsibilities

The electrician must ensure that:
the general information, step-by-step instructions and, in particular,
|
the safety instructions regarding assembly and installation are read in
their entirety before commissioning and before closing the
disconnectors are observed and followed at all times;
the safety devices and warning instructions on the device are used/
|
observed;
safety devices are neither removed nor taken out of operation;
|
all external and internal disconnectors are opened before commencing
|
work on the device;
the cut-off points and jumpers of the series terminals are always
|
completely closed and clicked into place. These must only be opened
if the system is in a voltage-free state;
the device is secured using both installation locks, is only opened using
|
the device key supplied, and the integrated locks are closed using the
covers provided;
after introduction, connection cables are sufficiently secured using a
|
cable strain relief. Connecting cables which are not strain-relieved may
be damaged or completely pulled out, causing considerable damage to
persons or property;
before any electrical work is performed, suitable measuring equipment
|
is used to ensure that the device is fully de-energised, both in the DC
and AC settings, in accordance with applicable directives. Note the
