Attach the Modified Tri-Star Swivel Adapter to the Transitional Member of the Base Unit by inserting the adaptor’s small starburst torque screw into the threaded hole on the transitional member as shown in Illustration 5: Turn torque screw clockwise to secure.

Rotate the Dual Starburst Bar to a position that allows the body of the Swivel Base to be gripped securely. Engage the Locking Lever to prevent the bar from moving while the Torque Screw with Pin is being withdrawn.

Página 53 DE – DEUTSCH DEUTSCH Beschreibung Ein MAYFIELD® Modifizierter Tri-Star Schwenkadapter (REF A-1116) ist zur Ausführung aller Funktionen eines normalen Tri-Star Schwenkadapters ausgebildet, weist aber ein zusätzliches Merkmal auf, welches die unbewegliche bzw. starre Feststellung an der Verlängerung der Sperrklinke am Körper der Schädelklemme bei Verwendung des Adapters mit einer Schädelklemme ermöglicht.

Página 85 NL – NEDERLANDS NEDERLANDS Omschrijving De MAYFIELD® gemodificeerde Tri-Star zwenkadapter (REF A-1116) biedt alle functies van de standaard Tri-Star zwenkadapter en daarnaast tevens de mogelijkheid om de passing van het ratelverlengstuk op het hoofddeel van de schedelklem te verbeteren wanneer de adapter met een schedelklem wordt gebruikt. De betere passing van het ratelverlengstuk reduceert de beweging die soms wordt veroorzaakt door de verschillen in tolerantie van de twee componenten en beperkt aldus de beweging van de schedelklem tijdens een chirurgische ingreep.
