2. Apply the adaptor to the clamp and carefully inspect the starburst connection to see that it is properly meshed and
secure. See Illustration 3.
WARNING:
If the swivel adapter knob becomes tight before the starburst is properly meshed, the knob is incorrectly adjusted
for this skull clamp. Use a 5/64" hex wrench to turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise four full turns to
reset the screw. See Illustration 1 for adjustment screw location. If the starburst fails to mesh correctly after the screw is
reset, the Tri-Star Modified Swivel Adapter may be incompatible with this particular clamp. See Section 2 for details.
3. With the adapter securely applied to the skull clamp, use a 5/64" hex wrench to turn the adjustment screw clockwise
until it is tight. See Illustration 4. Check the ratchet extension for movement.
