Activating/switching on the system
ring which the system lights up red. Once the switch-on process is com-
plete, the LED display will turn to flashing green if the system can be used
for more than 8 hours and the SKYVEST is ready for use. Please do not
activate the system until you have correctly put on the carrying system.

Switching off/deactivating the system
Check before commissioning
1. To ensure that the system is ready for daily use, carry out the following
checks before each use:
2. Check the vest and the zips for signs of heavy wear or damage.
3. Check the airbag for visible damage, especially if you have discovered
heavy abrasion or other damage to the vest.
4. After putting on the vest, check that it fits properly.
5. After switching on, wait until the light switches from steady red to flas-
hing green.
6.) HANDLING AND USE
6.1) Triggering
The system is triggered automatically by a free fall from a height of at least
1 m or when the triggering condition is reached and the airbag is inflated
in a few milliseconds. Once the airbag has inflated, a continuous red light
illuminates. The airbag only remains fully inflated for a few seconds, after
which the air slowly escapes.
6.2) Changing the inflator
Once the system has been triggered, the inflator must be replaced with
a new one. (See point 4, step 2). Return the inflator, Skylotec GmbH will
recycle the inflator.
