gering are related to the failure to achieve the triggering conditions.
These delaying conditions can occur in the limit range of the lower
working height or by impact along the fall path. A warranty and liabi-
lity for the function of the SKYVEST of Skylotec GmbH towards the
purchaser is excluded, in particular in the event of improper hand-
ling, repair attempts or parts replacement by unauthorised persons,
as well as operation or connection with third-party components not
authorised by Skylotec GmbH.
1.1) Mode of action and area of application:
The SKYVEST system is a sensor-controlled inflatable protector whose
principle of operation, similar to that of an airbag in a motor vehicle, is
to reduce the forces on the body in the event of an impact, so that a
reduction in the severity of injury can also be assumed. A battery-powered
sensor system analyses the wearer's position in three-dimensional space.
If the trigger condition is reached, a fall from a height or free fall, the
protective airbag inflates within milliseconds by means of a pyrotechnical,
pneumatic/mechanical process. The SKYVEST is a reusable system and
can be reused several times.
The inflated airbag of the SKYVEST can protect the back area in particu-
lar:

Spinal injury

The optimum area of application for the SKYVEST includes all activities
and activities between 1,70 and 4 m (metres) in height (sensor height)
where there are no alternative fall protection options. The system provi-
des protection as soon as it is inflated (from 1,30 metres). The maximum
protective effect exists from 1,7 m - 4 m. The protective effect decreases
from heights above 4 metres. If the wearer of a SKYVEST falls to the
ground, the force acting on the body can be reduced to such an extent
that the probability of injury is drastically reduced. The protective effect for
